The Lickey Hills are a great place to visit, with a variety of activities to offer.

There is Visitor Centre and children’s adventure playground.
If you are lucky there will be a Warden or Ranger on hand who will explain some of the history of the site.

At the visitor centre, as well as getting a nice cup of coffee, or sandwich, there is a display containing items of interest.

Rednal Tram Terminus

Around the walls you will see photographs of Trams.
At the base of the Lickeys was the Rednal Tram Terminus. During the Industrial Revolution, tens of thousands of Birmingham city dwellers would take the tram to enjoy the Lickey Hills.

During the summer holidays children would walk to Bristol Road then, for a penny each way, get a tram to the Lickeys… and sit on the top floor to see what was going on.
